In view of the aspirations of the Bulgarian statesmen after joining EU and NATO Bulgaria to become a member of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), The Atlantic Club of Bulgaria took the initiative to support this idea.
Dr. Salvatore Zecchini, Chairman of the Working Group “Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises and Entrepreneurship” in the OECD delivered a lecture to the members and guests of The Atlantic Club. The public lecture, called “OECD: The Added Value to the EU”, took place at the Central Military Club in Sofia on October 29, 2014, at 09:30 h.
Dr. Zecchini told the audience how Bulgaria could derive the greatest benefits from its membership in the OECD and how to achieve it. Beside him, the conference was attended by Dr. Evgeni Evgeniev, VUZF University, Giuseppe Graminya – Permanent Representative of the United States working group “SMEs and Entrepreneurship” in OECD, Filippos Pieros, Economic Counselor at the Permanent Delegation of the EU in the OECD and the Italian Ambassador in Bulgaria H.E. Marco Conticelli.
The event layed the foundations of the next strategic national goal, whose implementation was crucial for the prosperity of the Bulgarian economy and social life.
