Shortly after the NATO Warsaw Summit, The Atlantic Club of Bulgaria, the American-Bulgarian Alimni Association, the Bulgarian Diplomatic Institute and Konrad Adenauer Foundation organized a public discussion on the topic: “The Aftermath of the NATO Warsaw Summit”. Keynote speakers at the event were Minsiter of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria Daniel Mitov, Deputy Minister of Defence Atanas Zapryanov, Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Bulgaria Krzysztof Krajewski and Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to Bulgaria H.E. Marian Jakubocy. The discussion was moderated by Dr. Solomon Passy, President of the Atlantic Club of Bulgaria. The event took place on 14 July 2016 at the Central Military Club, Sofia.
During the public discussion were discussed different points of view following the Warsaw Summit that took place on 8 to 9 July 2016.
The event was attended by more than 130 people. It reached its primary goals to set up a platform for dialogue between government officials, experts on the field of security, diplomats, media and civil society. The lecturers’ speeches were followed by a dynamic discussion with the audience.
