From 3 – 4 April 2014, The Atlantic Club of Bulgaria, the Diplomatic Institute to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria and “G. S. Rakovski” National Defence Academy, with the special support of NATO, organized a conference, titled “Future NATO”, on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of Bulgaria’s accession to the Alliance.
The event aimed to establish a discussion regarding the challenges and perspectives before NATO’s open-door policy, responsibility sharing and capacity building within the framework of the transatlantic link, the mission of NATO in Afghanistan after 2014, as well as the role of Bulgaria in the Alliance in the past ten years.
The conference took place at the Central Military Club, in Sofia.
