Atlantic Discussions

In the first part there will be a discussion with the Prime Minister of Bulgaria H.E. Boyko Borissov on the topic "The Transatlantic Partnership from the Perspective of Bulgaria's EU Presidency". Prime Minister Borissov will highlight the strategic priorities of Bulgaria in view of the transatlantic relations and the forthcoming Bulgarian EU Presidency.

This will be the first large-scale discussion on this topic with the Bulgarian Prime Minister.

In the second part there will be a public lecture of H.E. Eric Rubin, US Ambassador to Bulgaria, on the topic “U.S. – Bulgarian Partnership: The Way Ahead”. H.E. Eric Rubin will discuss the partnership between USA and Bulgaria and how it could be strengthened.

This will be the first public event with the participation of Ambassador Rubin after the election of the current Parliament and Government of Bulgaria.

The joint event of the Atlantic Club of Bulgaria will be the first discussion with Bulgaria and the USA on the new scale of Euro-Atlantic solidarity in the context of EU’s response to Brexit.

The discussion will be moderated by Dr. Solomon Passy – President of the Atlantic Club of Bulgaria.

The event will take place at 09:30-12:00, at the Central Military Club, Sofia, Grand Concert Hall.
